GERMANTOWN, Md. & NEW YORK–WeatherBug parent Earth Networks promoted Mike Lombardi to vice president and general manager of consumer to reflect his expanding role within the company. In this position, Lombardi will continue to oversee advertising sales, sales operations as well as the subscription products for the WeatherBug consumer brand across mobile and online platforms from the company’s New York City offices.
Lombardi joined WeatherBug in 2005 as vice president of East Coast sales. In 2007, he was promoted to vice president of national sales. Prior to his current position, Lombardi served as vice president of advertising sales and marketing.
Lombardi is an established professional in the advertising industry with more than two decades of marketing and sales strategy and leadership experience in traditional and digital media. His past sales and sales management positions include Undertone Networks, Bonneville Corporation and Darcey & Darcey Advertising and Public Relations, Inc.
In 2010, Lombardi received the ASPY "Old Timer" award, which is given to digital veterans based on their contributions and help in advancing the advertising industry. He is also an established speaker who regularly participates in industry conferences.
