Fun Infographic – Wordle of 100 Twitter Geo Influencers

August 29, 2013 By Editor

A recent blog post from OpenGeo shared a cool list of 100 Geotechnology innovators and influencers on Twitter and it generated a bit of discussion in the community. If anything, the list is quite handy for finding some great people and tech geeks to follow on Twitter (even if the numerical ranking / ordering is a little odd). Something I found interesting to do was to churn out a Wordle from all the text in the people’s bios to see what terms and keywords popped.

Wordle of Top 100 Geo Influencers on Twitter
Some of the things that I noticed were that terms like Geospatial, manager, openstreetmap, Esri, developer, Canada, and opinions popped. Pretty cool stuff! What do you see?? See more in this blog post

A few of the other interesting keywords that were hidden within the visualization that I took note of include: GISP,  Washington, Redlands, learning, advocate and Geek! Gives you some good insight as to what traits are found in an influencer!
