Chester County Coordinates Police, Fire and Ambulance Response Using Intergraph®’s Computer-Aided Dispatch – Intergraph software aids information-sharing between public safety agencies in Chester County, Pennsylvania

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Aug. 20, 2013 — Chester County, Pennsylvania, has selected Intergraph® to improve information sharing between dozens of public safety agencies, helping police, firefighters and paramedics better respond to emergency incidents.

Using Intergraph’s computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software, Chester County can coordinate single and multi-agency response among 44 police departments, 57 fire departments and 23 ambulance companies in the Philadelphia area, while Intergraph’s mobile products provide 700 first responders with access to incidents, records and maps on laptops, tablets and smartphones. Intergraph’s EdgeFrontier® integration software enables seamless integration between CAD and law enforcement records and between the public safety agencies.

"By improving communications among public safety agencies in the area, Intergraph will provide the tools to respond better and faster to incidents," said Deputy Director John Haynes, Chester County. "Getting the right resources to the right place at the right time will improve public safety and reduce the risk faced by our first responders."

This multi-agency solution leverages Intergraph’s flexible and scalable platforms for geospatial data management and analysis and incident response. More than 2,500 public safety and security agencies around the world rely on Intergraph software.

"Intergraph makes it easier to see, understand and act on information," said Haynes. "By ensuring agencies can share critical information and coordinate resources in real-time, Intergraph is helping Chester County make smarter decisions."
