The European Very High-Res Imagery Challenge

Sign-up, submit your application and win your share of EUR 350,000.

The Challenge
The European Space Imaging High-Res Challenge invites people to create new and viable applications using Very High-Resolution (VHR) satellite data. Application ideas which are easily implementable, sustainable, cut costs and create efficiencies are of high interest. Participants are required to submit detailed descriptions of their application ideas including business cases and end user benefits.

Evaluation Criteria

    Benefit and Innovativeness (social benefit for European industry/citizens, other advantages, innovation level)
    Copernicus relevance (significance of the use of Earth monitoring data for realization, added value through Copernicus)
    Integration of VHR satellite data
    Technological feasibility (feasibility)
    Market potential (chance of commercial success, such as expected demand, investment potential and short time to market)
    Legal aspects and risks (legal risks, ability to patent, regulations/laws to be considered)

Prize
The winner will be awarded a data package of European Space Imaging satellite data worth up to EUR 20,000 for use in further developing the winning application.
