MapMart offers Bing Maps Stream with Imagery Metadata

June 4, 2013 By Editor

LONE TREE, Colo., June 4, 2013 – MapMart is excited to announce that the Bing Maps streaming service with the imagery metadata is now available through the MapMart Cloud, including the date of imagery capture, wherever possible.

The MapMart Cloud Bing Maps stream, via MapSavvy by OnTerra, is available for use in ArcGIS for Desktop Basic, MapInfo Professional, Global Mapper, as well as other GIS software packages.  The set-up takes only minutes, is very affordable and the stream begins immediately.

For MapMart’s Esri user base, the subscription to the Bing Maps services will provide continuity of Bing Maps Service and expand on the previous scope of usage as well.  The phase out of the Bing services within ArcGIS for Desktop Basic will be complete before the end of 2013.

“The addition of the Bing imagery metadata to the Bing Maps services is a welcome addition to the already fast Bing Maps services,” said Utkal Sharma, Vice President and Director of Web Development for MapMart.  “MapMart is very proud to be able to provide the latest developments to these services so quickly and is continuing to work to make the services compatible with even more platforms.”

“MapMart is a major provider of geospatial information via the Web.  The fact that they have become a reseller of our affordable, Web-based Bing Maps services provides strong validation of MapSavvy, OnTerra’s Systems Web-based Bing Maps service,” said Steve Milroy, OnTerra Systems CEO.
