A tip here for those of you heading to San Diego CA this July for ESRIUC. We luck out this year as the Padres have a home stand the week of UC and that means loads of opportunities to get to the ball park and enjoy a game. The Rockies (woohoo!!) and the Giants (Boooo!) are in town and could make for a great social networking opportunity for you and some colleagues, clients, or friends. Marketing people planning a social activity or maybe a contest give away should think about this as a possible idea for something to do and also, if you act fast you can also contact the Padres business office and arrange to have a nice, GeoGeeky message displayed on the jumbo-tron! Oh, and if you plan on passing out some tickets or will be organizing a trip to the ball park be sure to tell yours truly about it ;0)
