OpenStreetMap Edit-A-Thons Coming to 16 Cities

April 13, 2013 By Editor

A whole bunch of OSM mappers will be getting together next week (April 20) in a cool effort to help build out the basemap in a cool event designed to spread the word and get a whole bunch of edits made.  Sixteen cities across the country have signed up, including mapping parties to be held in San Francisco and Sunnyvale in California, Tampa Bay, Florida and Washington, D.C. The groups will begin work at about 12pm, and are expected to continue editing as a group until 6pm each evening. So far companies that have stepped up as sponsors include MapBox, Esri, and Telenav… maybe you can help out too! See the official PR HERE
