April 4, 2013 By Editor

After two previous annual events each drawing in excess of 100 delegates, the LiDAR Technology Workshop series in Cairns is emerging as Australia’s premier annual LiDAR event.

LiDAR Technologies 2013 is co-hosted by the Far North GIS Users Group and the national Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI). The event dates are August 22nd & 23rd, 2013.

LiDAR Technologies 2013 promises even greater access to detailed information on airborne and bathymetry LiDAR with an increased emphasis on mobile mapping. Access cutting edge understanding of the latest in LiDAR technology hardware, data fusion and processing tools and learn more about LiDAR projects of national significance. Learn more first hand from industry experts regarding industry changes and developments.

An international exhibition from vendors of the latest data processing tools, complementary sensor manufacturers, survey services companies will complement the workshop.

Delegates are able to attend our workshops presented by industry manufacturers aimed at providing new users, project and asset managers and potential purchasers of equipment with an understanding of the basic principles and fundamental benefits associated with LiDAR technologies. These workshops are hosted by exhibiting companies and held alongside the LiDAR Technologies Workshop. Delegates that are registered for the conference are able to attend free of charge.

Cairns is adjacent to the stunning Great Barrier Reef and the access point for the Daintree Tropical Rainforest World Heritage Area. Join us in Cairns and enjoy everything the tropics have to offer at a superb time of year.
