Blue Marble Features Mandarin Chinese Interface for Global Energy Mapper at IPTC in Beijing, China

March 20, 2013 By Editor

Hallowell, Maine – March 19, 2013 – Blue Marble Geographics (bluemarblegeo.com) is excited to be exhibiting for the first time at the International Petroleum Technology Conference in Beijing, China the week of March 23rd . Blue Marble will co-exhibit with Spatial Energy (Beijing) and will be showcasing the power of Global Energy Mapper with a Mandarin interface. Blue Marble’s geospatial data manipulation, visualization and conversion solutions are used worldwide by thousands of GIS analysts at software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as governmental and university organizations.

Blue Marble Geographics and Spatial Energy have teamed up to offer this exclusive energy-focused version of Global Energy Mapper for the Chinese geospatial market. With energy specific symbols, data sets and layer options available for direct access from Global Mapper, users are able to access their Spatial on Demand imagery seamlessly to their Global Energy Mapper desktop application with the tools, terminology and symbols you demand for your energy-based projects.

”We are thrilled to be teaming up with Spatial Energy Beijing for our custom offering for the Chinese market,” stated Blue Marble President Patrick Cunningham. “We look forward to meeting our customers at IPTC and answering any questions they may have about Global Energy Mapper or any Blue Marble software.”

Global Energy Mapper 14.1 provides a dramatic increase in LiDAR processing and display speed, and the ability to view and process point files in the hundreds of millions range. This is beneficial for previewing the data before creating a gridded surface model and includes several options for filtering the data during import and for rendering the point cloud to reflect return type or intensity. Additionally 14.1 introduces new Pad Site enhancements, the whisker line creation tool which creates seismic survey lines, a new tool for easily dividing parcels into four separate areas, dongle licensing and much more.
