Soft-ex and Telefónica Ireland partner on new Telecom Data Intelligence platform

February 25, 2013 By Editor

25.02.2013 — Cloud-based solution to give Telefonica Ireland customers more transparency and control of unified telecom costs.
Soft-ex, a leading supplier of Telecom Management solutions, has today announced that its innovative Telecom Data Intelligence (TDI) platform is to be implemented by Telefónica Ireland, which operates the O2 brand.
The new platform will equip O2’s enterprise sales teams with Operator Intelligence and Account Management tools, at the touch of a button. The Soft-ex solution will also deliver new functionality to help O2’s enterprise customers manage their mobile, data and fixed line costs. The solution will offer Unified Visibility, eBilling, Mobile Policy Management and Device Management.
As communications companies look to transform their businesses, innovative solutions such as TDI can make all the difference. TDI will deliver all information and analysis on usage and costs direct to the user’s desktop, but will also provide an automated eBilling mechanism to improve the customer experience.
Enterprise customers will be able to view all of their bills in one place, wherever, whenever they want to. Enterprises can also benefit from the new policy manager module, which will allow companies to create and manage policies for employee usage, BYOD and chargeback. Policy Manager enables centralised control via an automated rule mechanism which allows for the implementation of corporate usage compliance on devices, mobile purchases and services. Device analysis gives visibility on what devices the enterprise has and how to optimise their cost usage.
According to the Yankee Group, “Operators worldwide are ‘waking up’ to the power of analytics as a competitive tool and the industry is turning its attention to increased adoption of solutions to boost revenues, reduce churn and improve the end-user experience. Commenting further, the Yankee Group stated “There remains a lack of readily usable solutions oriented specifically to the needs of telecoms sales and marketing professionals. TDI solutions address that need via intuitive interfaces, real-time responsiveness and low-risk deployment models. Soft-ex’s TDI solution is well positioned because it simultaneously delivers real value to CSPs marketing and sales executives and their business customers.”
Ian Sparling, CEO of Soft-ex, commented, “With the exponential increase in Enterprise voice and data consumption, coupled with the shift in the CSP competitive landscape and the ease of changing suppliers, CSPs now recognise the need to engage with their Enterprise customers more effectively. By engaging customers online and using billing data as a Value Added Service (VAS), CSPs can provide enhanced customer experience for their Enterprise clients and subscriber data intelligence for their own sales and marketing teams to deliver revenue growth, customer retention and cost savings. We are delighted to be working with Telefonica Ireland to achieve these goals”.
