MapMart adds UK-DMC2 Imagery to its Global Data Offering

MapMart Becomes Reseller of DMC International Imaging Limited to offer UK-DMC2 22m Imagery of the World

LONE TREE, Colo., February 26, 2013 – MapMart, a division of IntraSearch, today announced it has become the reseller of DMC International Imaging Limited to offer the UK-DMC2 imagery for end-users in North America.  The 22 meter resolution fits nicely into the wide array of satellite offerings from MapMart.

The UK-DMC2 sensor is a highly responsive satellite that rapidly and accurately captures large areas of data at 22 meter resolution using the upgraded SLIM-6 sensor.  It offers the Red, Green and Near-Infrared bands (identical to those of LandSat) which make it ideal for a wide range of applications requiring spectral analysis.  These applications include simulation, forestry management, land cover creation and analysis, agricultural monitoring and large-scale disaster response and tracking.

“The addition of the UK-DMC2 satellite will create a new option for users who need large area coverage with a rapid refresh rate as well as supplement the offering of the current LandSat data,” said Michael Platt, President of MapMart. “Our environmental, agricultural, and forestry management customers in particular can benefit from the broad, homogenous coverage that this sensor offers.”

“DMCii is delighted to work with MapMart to provide wider access to our DMC 22 meter imagery.” said Paul Stephens, Sales & Marketing Director of DMCii. “The DMC satellites provide rapid revisit world-wide. Since 2005 they delivered multi-temporal monitoring at a resolution which enables detailed sub-field land-cover analysis, yet on a continental scale.  The 650km swath significantly reduces the number of scenes processed by the customer, saving time and money, and cross calibration to Landsat assures radiometric quality”
