The latest edition of LiDAR Magazine is now available

Welcome to our ILMF 2013 edition, coming to you live from Denver, Colorado. Reports are that registration is running well ahead of last year’s record pace. Look for blog posts and Tweets to keep you informed. I hope you enjoy this information-packed edition of the magazine and perhaps I will see you here at the show.

Geoff Jacobs at Leica HDS reports that there have been over 15,000 views of the Leica HDS introductory videos. I assume that means we are only beginning to scratch the surface of the potential market for 3D laser scanning—kudos to Geoff and his group for providing those.

I think you will find the breadth and quality of the articles in this edition to be outstanding. If you would like to subscribe to the print version click here. If you would like to contribute an article please be sure to let me know and in the meantime, enjoy.

Product Review: Massive LiDAR Processing with SCALGO
Most GIS-based approaches to the analysis of LiDAR data, particularly hydrologic modeling, requite that the LiDAR data be represented as a raster surface. Converting LiDAR point clouds to raster surface models is not a "niche" capability by any means, but doing it for very large datasets ….
