The Global Mapper webinar for the month of August will focus on the various exporting, distribution, and data sharing functions that are available within the software. Specific topics will include file export formats for vector, raster, and elevation data; data sharing among Global Mapper users; page layout options and printing; geospatial PDF generation; and exporting web-ready map tiles. During the presentation, these features and functions will be presented in the form of a series of real-world scenarios that will also touch on many of the key elements of the software, such as labeling, symbolization, and thematic mapping. As always, we look forward to demonstrating the capabilities of Global Mapper and we hope you can join us for this webinar on August 9, 2012.

Blue Marble Desktop – What’s New in v2.5

August 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm EDT (UTC -0400)
Register: https://www3.gotomeeting.com/register/910489966

The Blue Marble Desktop webinar for the month of August will cover the new features found in the soon-to-be-released Blue Marble Desktop v2.5. Some of these new features include the ability to create Geospatial PDF files; job "pipelining" enhancements that allow outputs from one job to be fed directly into another for complex raster processes; and a simplified download process for accessing the supplemental transformation grid files for horizontal and vertical datum transformations. There are new transformations types we will examine for EPSG Affine Parametric parameters, 14 parameter Time-based coordinate transformations, and support for concatenated datum transformations also found in the EPSG database. We will also take a look at a new Point Database operation for deriving your own 3 and 7 parameter datum transformations from geodetic control points. Join us for this one hour session on "What’s New" in v2.5!

Note: On the registration page, there is a "Show in my Time Zone" link next to the date and time, that will allow you to see what time the webinar will take place in your own local time zone.

Our sessions are recorded and posted to our archive for later viewing if you are not able to attend live: http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/products/previous-webinars.php
