Agreement with TP Systems will bring Accela Automation to Canadian government, healthcare, and professional services organizations

VICTORIA, BC, August 24, 2012 – Accela, Inc., the leader in solutions for government-citizen interaction, announced today it has signed a partnership agreement with TP Systems to resell its full suite of web-based automation products in Canada. In business since 1977, TP Systems is a leading provider of software and IT services, and is pleased to add Accela Automation® to the portfolio of products it implements for government agencies, non-profit healthcare providers, and other professional organizations. Accela is excited to expand sales of its industry-leading software to include local government, provincial, and federal agencies throughout Canada.

The Canadian market for enterprise software has been strong in recent years, showing consistent year-over-year growth. The growth trend is expected to accelerate in coming years, with annual revenue exceeding $7.5 billion by 2015.

“Accela is committed to helping the public sector deliver services more efficiently for greater customer satisfaction, and continuing to expand into the Canadian market delivers on this commitment,” said Accela CEO and President Maury Blackman. “TP Systems has been in business for more than 35 years, with a reputation for integrity and competence that just can’t be beat. We’re proud they’re joining our global network of implementation partners.”

“Accela Automation is a great addition to the products and services we’re able to offer to our clients. It complements the other solutions we’ve been implementing, such as document management, managed services, and general IT consulting,” said Scott Ross, CEO of TP Systems. “We’re excited to be an Accela partner.”

TP Systems is particularly interested in the degree of integration between Accela Automation and its add-on applicationswith Microsoft desktop products such as SharePoint and Microsoft Office. As a Microsoft Gold Solutions partner, TP Systems considers Accela’s ease of integration with existing desktop solutions a major selling point to new customers.

Accela software offers a web- and cloud-based platform to government agencies at the state, federal, and local levels to help them deliver services online such as permitting, licensing, code enforcement, community development, and asset management. The software helps organizations use their human resources more efficiently by automating routine tasks and centralizing critical information in a web-enabled database so businesses, citizens, contractors, and government agencies can self-serve, accessing files from their offices and their mobile devices. The software greatly improves transparency for citizens placing service requests and for businesses engaged in local development projects.
