Orbit GT, Oranjewoud sign Business Partnership

April 13, 2012 By Editor

Lokeren, Belgium, and Almere, The Netherlands, April 12th, 2012. Orbit GeoSpatial Technologies and Oranjewoud announce the signing of a Business Partnership.

Orbit GeoSpatial Technologies and Oranjewoud have signed a cooperation agreement. The GBIdatabank and GBInext software from Oranjewoud will be digested by Orbit GT solutions giving users additional opportunities with support of standardized data from public space. Applications will focus on Orbit’s native support for the GBIdatabank and powerful GIS viewing capabilities embedded with Orbit’s unique tools for mobile mapping and photogrammetry.

The GBI solutions from Oranjewoud Consultancy and Engineering is an integrated management information system to support the management of public space. With GBInext, Oranjewoud introduced in 2011 a completely new system which is now used by 40 municipalities. The GBIdatabank is an open standardized database containing all the object data from the field public space. This co-operation fits within the "Kaart & Keten" (Map & Chain)concept of Oranjewoud. This concept aims at single captation and multiple use of content. "Kaart & Keten" allows users of the integrated map new ways to deal efficiently with data and to translate this data into various applications.
