GbBIS Introduces Updated Traffic Counts Aligned with NAVTEQ NAVSTREETS

April 23, 2012 By Editor

Businesses to benefit from better accuracy on maps and better results for spatial analysis.

Wellsboro, Pennsylvania — April 19, 2012 — GbBIS, a leading resource for geography-based business information solutions, announced the introduction of its updated MPSI TrafficMetrix, aligning Traffic Counts with NAVTEQ NAVSTREETS.  This realignment displays traffic markers on maps with great accuracy, producing excellent results for spatial analysis.  The GbBIS update combines the extensive traffic count data from MPSI TrafficMetrix with the accuracy of NAVSTREETS.

GbBIS’s proprietary methodology accurately aligns traffic count markers onto NAVSTREETS, letting businesses view Traffic Counts with pinpoint accuracy.  Data is perfectly aligned with the streets and highways on their maps and web-applications.  This alignment also creates the best results for spatial analysis, allowing businesses to analyze the relationships between Traffic Counts data, geographies, and locations aligned with NAVSTREETS.

Dan Olasin, President and CEO of GbBIS, asserts that “traffic count markers aligned to NAVTEQ NAVSTREETS provide a combination of accuracy and aesthetics.  Visual representation is easy to use and establishes data confidence.”

Traffic Counts provided by MPSI TrafficMetrix are collected from over 1.2 million traffic volume counts at more than 1 million traffic data points, covering urban, suburban, and rural streets, as well as major roads and highway networks.  Its easy-to-use format assigns a point value and marker to each traffic count site based on the amount of vehicle traffic at that location.

GbBIS offers its realigned Traffic Counts data in map, web application, report, and database formats, allowing current users of NAVTEQ street data to take advantage of this update.  Businesses interested in an accurate, effective planning tool for site evaluation, site selection, territory design, and much more should contact Theresa Bordas, National Client Services Manager, at 1-877-447-6277 or theresa.bordas@gbbis.com
