Location-based, Fishidy, Goes Main stream with Steady Growth and New Features for Anglers

March 8, 2012 By Editor

Fishidy.com is growing in popularity as anglers look for fishing-based resources to find fish, connect with like-minded enthusiasts and eliminate unproductive time on the water. Fishidy is a one-stop-shop allowing fishermen and women to view detailed, interactive waterway maps, loaded with data, weather, moon phases and more, while connecting with people and places they’re interested in.

Madison, Wisconsin March 07, 2012

Fishidy, the newest online community for anglers, has just launched its full version of the website, Fishidy.com. Having recently finalized a successful beta release, Fishidy now incorporates more of what anglers are looking for in an online resource. Interactive fishing maps complete with specific waterway data and marked fishing areas along with the ability to keep detailed fishing reports and records of personal on-water experiences, make it the only resource of its kind available to anglers of all kinds. Fishidy seamlessly connects anglers to each other, to businesses, and to the waterways they fish the most.

To date, thousands of fishermen and women have created profiles and begun capturing data and sharing on the location-based community made by people who understand the tools needed for a successful day on the water. The focus of Fishidy is the interactive mapping, which is loaded with valuable information and maps provided by a trusted name in the industry, Fishing Hot Spots® (FHS).

“We’ve made substantial changes to the Fishidy platform just since we launched in July 2011,” says Brian Jensen, President of Fishidy. “One of our goals is to listen to our customers and to continuously evolve to provide anglers with the tools they need to be successful on the water and have fun doing it, while allowing them to connect with others who may share an interest in the same waterway, the same species or who simply live in the same area.”

The newest features added to Fishidy include detailed waterway and business pages, updated fishing maps and a revamped site design, making it easier to navigate and connect. Users can now “follow” waterways and businesses they want to stay up-to-date on. And, they have access to real-time information like fishing tips, real-time weather maps, sea surface temperature charts, fishery characteristics and local businesses on waterways they follow. A dedicated Resources Page brings even more information to their fingertips.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the new features on Fishidy.com,” adds Jensen. “The ability to find everything you’re looking for in one spot is the future of fishing. I’ve used the site numerous times and I can honestly say it’s helped me bag some lunkers — if you don’t believe me check out my photos on Fishidy.com! I guarantee Fishidy is only going to get better. We’ve got anglers in mind, we’re right there with them and we’re here to stay.”
