TomTom delivers data in Esri’s file geodatabase format – Scalable and easy to use

Via TomTom… TomTom announced the availability of its MultiNet suite of map products in Esri’s file geodatabase format. TomTom now offers enterprise customers a versatile data solution with customizable storage configuration to help save users’ time and optimize performance. The geodatabase format enables Esri users to utilize their TomTom data within multiuser access and editing environments for desktop, server and mobile environments.

Esri Federal GIS Conference, Washington, DC, February 22, 2012 – TomTom today announces the availability of its MultiNet suite of map products in Esri’s file geodatabase format. As GIS datasets increase in size, TomTom is offering enterprise customers a data solution that improves versatility, optimizes performance and allows for customizable storage configuration. Large TomTom datasets may now be consumed directly by Esri applications in a file geodatabase format that is configurable within the customer’s environment, saving time and effort for GIS professionals. The geodatabase format enables Esri users to utilize their TomTom data within multiuser access and editing environments for desktop, server and mobile environments,

TomTom provides file geodatabase format for the following products: MultiNet, MultiNet Enterprise, MultiNet Administrative Areas, MultiNet Census Enabled Geocoding Layer, MultiNet Locality Index, and MultiNet Post.
