GCS Research Announces New Release of Economic Development Site Selector Solution

January 10, 2012 By Editor

GCS Research is pleased to announce the release of a new version of the Montana Site Selector.

Already delivered to customers across the State of Montana, the latest release includes many important enhancements including: built-in and dynamic layer legends, a new layer transparency tool, support for group layers and a new layers tab for displaying and exploring detailed demographics and market information.

“This new version of our Site Selector is immediately useful to us in our economic development efforts.  The new demographic layers are a terrific addition.  These enhancements are helping us generate additional interest from local commercial real estate brokers that want to more fully utilize and contribute valuable site information to the system,” said Terry Myhre, Executive Director of the Montana Business Assistance Connection, an economic development focused organization based in Helena, Montana.

The Montana Site Selector now offers a more serviceable and flexible user interface, complete with an advanced help system with links to documents and “how-to” instructional videos.
The new version of the Montana Site Selector also includes:
•    Reports based upon updated U.S. Census Bureau 2010 data
•    Streamlined user interface for site management
•    New site search, sort, and reporting capabilities
•    More intuitive and straightforward site save function
•    New website traffic analytics and detailed statistics on site interest
“We are excited to release this new version of the Montana Site Selector and feel that it continues to meet the site selection and economic development needs important to helping grow Montana’s economy,” said Alex Philp, President of GCS Research.

At this time, GCS would also like to welcome the newest portal member to Site Selector, the Southeastern Montana Development Corporation. We look forward to supporting them as they grow and expand economic development opportunities across the state.
