Dewberry Welcomes Expertise of Douglas M. Adams, GISP

Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has named Douglas M. Adams, GISP as a senior project manager in the Baltimore, Md., office. In this new role, he will focus on the needs of local and state government for geographic information systems (GIS).

With 25 years of experience in the geospatial industry, Adams has served as the GIS manager, coordinator, and program manager for both Harford County and Baltimore County in Maryland. He was an active participant in initiation and operation of the Maryland State Geographic Information Committee. 

Adams received his master’s and bachelor’s in geography and environmental planning from Towson University. He is a member of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association and the Maryland State Geographic Information Committee. He is a Certified Workshop Instructor for URISA and an Authorized Instructor for Esri (ArcGIS Desktop I & II, Version 9.3).

Adams is a Geographic Information System Professional (GISP) and certified in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation. He is an active participant in the Baltimore Dakota Learning Camps, an instructor at the University of Minnesota Morris’ WindSTEP Program, and an adjunct professor at Towson University where he teaches GIS database design.
