CityHub, the dynamic, virtual city Launching in Victoria, B.C

October 20, 2011 By Editor

A Victoria, BC startup is launching a clever, social map-based service to the business community early in November, 2011.

CityHub will be a place where users can locate the city’s most loved places and also locate some great deals. Additionally, business owneres will be able to build out a virtual store front offering site users specials

CityHUB Victoria, launching November 7th and promoted year-round as the comprehensive insiders’ guide to Victoria, will feature a searchable interactive virtual city showcasing Victoria’s most-loved businesses. A mobile-friendly version will allow residents and tourists alike to access CityHUB as a resource on the go.

Each participating business will own and manage a virtual storefront in the hub, much like this one, but fully customized in appearance and content. CityHUB will feature a wealth of information and specials from your most-loved businesses, in a fun dynamic format.

WHO IS BEHIND CITYHUB?
CityHUB is the project of Ian Watts and Tanya Bub, two local Victoria web developers who found they were always asking their friends for recommendations on where to eat, whom to hire and what to do in Victoria. CityHUB Victoria was developed as a venue in which everyone could express an opinion about which places they most love, large, small, well-known and best-kept secrets alike. The venue was designed to level the playing field so that any business could participate regardless of size or marketing budget. We hope nominees and voters alike are having fun with the vote and that Victoria will enjoy CityHUB as a year-round resource to all the wonderful and varied options available in Victoria!

CityHUB will allow participating businesses to post specials which can be clipped to phone, email or print.
