Are you using your tablet for work related tasks?

October 5, 2011 By Editor

Theres no question that many of us are now toting around tablets (like the iPad I’m currently using) but are we using these handy devices to their potential yet, or simply using them as our news reader, email client, and mobile companion? I noticed in a recent survey that I posted that many respondents indicated their many use of the tablet was as their e reader and news source. But what about actually working from your iPad? Perhaps penning a blog post, working on a spreadsheet, heck, how about field data collection on a mapping project? All these tasks and many more are easily accomplished on the tablet but why aren’t we comfortable doing so? my initial guess is the keyboard and perhaps the device size. connectivity issues may also be a problem for some, particularly those on wifi only devices. What are you using your tablet for in your job? Feel free to ping me on twitter @gletham and tell me about it.

FYI this is the first blog post I’ve penned using my iPad!
