Florida’s Osceola County Live on Manatron customCAMA Software

September 13, 2011 By Editor

PORTAGE, Mich., Sept. 13, 2011 — Manatron, Inc., a global leader in providing integrated property tax and records management software for state and local governments, today announced that Osceola County, Florida will now utilize GRM customCAMA integrated property tax software and related professional services to streamline its property recording process.

Manatron was ultimately selected due to its presence in the Florida market, as well as the company’s deep knowledge of local legislation. Osceola, which includes the cities of St. Cloud and Kissimmee as well as portions of Disney World, serves a constituency of more than 250,000 residents and its offices are responsible for the tracking and assessment of over 173,000 parcels.

The Osceola County property appraiser, Katrina Scarborough stated: "By selecting Manatron, our office is embarking on the utilization of the next generation’s technology. The transition to this new government software will allow my office to perform the constitutional duty of a Florida property appraiser in a more cost-effective manner.  Also, given Manatron’s experience and concentration in the state of Florida, I am confident this represents a smart move for our assessment needs."

Manatron’s GRM customCAMA software complements the county’s current property tax and recording process. The program is completely customizable, enhancing functionality and efficiency across the county.

"We are pleased that the transition and implementation process was highly successful in Osceola County," said Bill McKinzie, Manatron president and CEO. "This system will serve to improve the county’s overall efficiency and workflow — improving the quality and accuracy of assessment data and tax management which is essential for a dynamic and varied county like Osceola."

As part of its service contract with Manatron, the Osceola County property appraiser receives ongoing legislative updates, technical support, product enhancements, integration with the latest technology and new software releases as they become available.
