2011 Esri International User Conference Booth 1311

SEATTLE–LizardTech®, a division of Celartem Inc. and a provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, is a Platinum Imagery Sponsor at the 2011 Esri International User Conference in San Diego this week, where the company is exhibiting in booth number 1311.

“This is going to be an exciting week for LizardTech with so many geospatial professionals present at the show and so much going on”

As a Platinum Sponsor, LizardTech will be participating in a Lightning Talk presentation during the Imagery Concept Session given by one of LizardTech’s end users, Dr. Lynn Copeland, Program Manager, Civil Affairs Operating System, 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Airborne), US Army Special Operations Command. Dr. Copeland will share how her group uses imagery and how LizardTech’s technology contributes to the success of managing that imagery. This presentation will take place on Tuesday, July 12 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 28 D.

In addition, on Wednesday, July 13 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Imagery Island Demo Theater in Exhibit Hall C, Jon Skiffington, director of product management, will give a presentation titled “What’s New in MrSID Generation 4 (MG4)?” Skiffington’s presentation will cover the many benefits of using MG4™, including how to losslessly compress geospatial imagery and LiDAR data, mosaic datasets together, color balance raster imagery, and manipulate data in many other ways.

LizardTech will also have a presence on Wednesday night at the Imagery Social located in the CitySide Corridor on the second floor of the convention center from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Esri attendees interested in attending the Imagery Social can stop by LizardTech booth number 1311 prior to Wednesday evening to pick up an invitation.

“This is going to be an exciting week for LizardTech with so many geospatial professionals present at the show and so much going on,” said Jon Skiffington, director of product management. “Not only are we a Platinum Imagery Sponsor, we also just launched version 7 of Express Server image distribution software, which now supports the MG4 format. In addition, we just released a plug-in for ArcGIS Desktop 10, adding support for MG4 files in Esri desktop products.”

LizardTech will conduct product demonstrations at their booth, number 1311, of recently launched Express Server® 7 software, which enables geospatial professionals to distribute high-resolution raster imagery. Also available will be product demonstrations of GeoExpress® software for compressing and manipulating satellite and aerial imagery, and LiDAR Compressor™ software for turning giant point cloud datasets into efficient MrSID® files.
