LizardTech Express Server 7 – Fast, Stable, and Support for MG4

July 5, 2011 By Editor

Last week I had a chance to hear first hand from LizardTech Product Manager Jon Skiffington about the latest release of the company’s flagship solution, Express Server 7 which officially was announced this morning. Boasting loads of speed, Express Server 7 provides the end user with fast, high resolution image deliver in a stable environment and best of all, users can expect to get up and running typically in about 30 minutes!  According to Skiffington, most noteworthy in R 7 is that Express Server now supports the MrSID® Generation 4 (MG4™) format, which uses alpha-band transparency for better looking mosaics and enables the delivery of specified bands from multi- and hyperspectral imagery.

Express Server 7 is compatible with all common WMS servers. See more details in this official product announcement and be sure to also check out demo.lizardtech.com to take a test drive for yourself.

Note: for attendees at the 2011 International EsriUC you can catch up with Skiffington and crew on the exhibition hall floor Booth # 1311. Visitors to the booth can see and hear all about Express Server 7 from the team and you can also score yourself a cool, special edition Lizard! The company will also be offering up an iPad to a lucky winner of their esriuc competition. More details here
