The Canada Federal Election foursquare checkin GeoPollster Map shows Liberal – Tories near dead heat

It’s federal election day in Canada and if you listen to foursquare users it appears that the  Liberals are leading the Conservatives by the smallest margin (less than 1%)

The GeoPollster map (sourced from http://geopollster-canada.com/) from May 2,2011 from the National Post shows off voter affiliation of foursquare users in Canada. As of May 2, 2011, election day in Canada, the map appears as follows with the Liberals leading by the smallest amount, at 32.97% followed closely by the Conservatives at 31.97%

GeoPollster, the Canadian election game is a clever service built on foursquare, enabling Canadian users to link their foursquare account to their political affiliation. This is Part 1 in a continuing series on foursquare apps
