New Products Available for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 for Building and Infrastructure Projects

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.–Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK), a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, announced that several Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) members have released applications for Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 software. ADN members have developed applications for architecture, transportation, land development and water projects to help extend the value of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in specific industries.

“By offering companion solutions for Revit Architecture 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, ADN partners are helping their architecture, engineering, construction and infrastructure customers model and design complex projects more efficiently and collaboratively”

Built for BIM, Autodesk Revit Architecture software helps users capture and analyze design concepts, and more accurately maintain a consistent vision through design, documentation and construction stages of a project. AutoCAD Civil 3D software, the BIM solution for civil engineering, helps teams more rapidly deliver higher-quality design and documentation for transportation, land development and water projects. Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012 is a key component of the new Autodesk Building Design Suite, while AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 is integral to the new Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite.

“By offering companion solutions for Revit Architecture 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, ADN partners are helping their architecture, engineering, construction and infrastructure customers model and design complex projects more efficiently and collaboratively,” said Richard Harpham, senior director, AEC industry marketing, AEC Solutions. “These solutions help support a BIM process that delivers complex building and infrastructure projects on time and on budget. Building on Autodesk technology, such as the new Autodesk building and infrastructure design suites, our developer partners are helping their customers realize tangible business benefits, including quality, efficiency, productivity and sustainability.”

The following ADN members have released applications for Autodesk 2012 software:

Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012:

  • Adapt
  • Eagle Point
  • OFCDesk
  • SOFiSTiK AG
  • StrucSoft
  • Trelligence

AutoCAD Civil 3D:

  • CAD Masters
  • Delauney
  • Eagle Point
  • Hongye
  • RDV
  • Savoy Computing Services Limited
  • THSWare
  • WelTop

“We’re excited about the new capabilities of Revit Architecture 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012. When Autodesk releases enhancements to the Application Programming Interfaces, we are able to improve our applications for our customers. This year’s releases offer us a tremendous opportunity to build and expand our products’ capabilities. Being a longstanding member in the ADN program means we can offer products that, when coupled with the latest Autodesk solutions, enhance our customers’ workflow and increase their productivity,” said Brad Heil, Vice President – Products & Services Eagle Point Software, Inc.

About Autodesk BIM Solutions

Building Information Modeling is an intelligent model–based process that provides insight for creating and managing building and infrastructure projects faster, more economically and with less environmental impact. Autodesk BIM solutions for the building lifecycle, from design to construction and operations and maintenance, are based on intelligent models created with Autodesk Revit 2012 software, including solutions for architecture, structural engineering, and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering. Autodesk BIM solutions for the infrastructure lifecycle are based on intelligent models created with AutoCAD Civil 3D software for civil engineering design and AutoCAD Map 3D software for infrastructure planning. Helping to expand the benefits of BIM is a powerful set of complementary solutions, including Autodesk Navisworks and Autodesk 3ds Max Design software, to visualize and simulate projects virtually, and AutoCAD software for documentation and professional drafting. Autodesk Vault Collaboration AEC software helps project teams manage and track digital models; secure, organize, and access project documentation; and facilitate team collaboration.
