For a little fun, we tossed about a dozen, short questions at some Geo technology professionals – below is our Q&A with industry expert Learon Dalby – enjoy!

Q: What’s Your "Official" job Title?
A: GIS Program Manager

Q: If you could give yourself a cool, new job title what would it be (and why – optional)?
A: Not sure how cool but… Whiteboard Dude- I spend a lot of time on a whiteboard with a marker in my hand.

Q: What’s the best part of your job?
A: Flexibility to try new things. Always tackling a new challenge.

Q: Where did you go to school and if you could go back to College and do your education all over once again where would you go and what would you study?
A: University of Arkansas at Little Rock- Somewhere in SEC Country and would study computer science.

Q: What’s your favorite social networking resource and why?
A: Twitter- It suits my ADD with quick to the point dialogues.

Q: What’s the last event or conference you went to and how was it? And.. if you could only go to one event this year what would it be?
A: NSGIC mid-year- it was one of the better ones I have attended. – Google I/O or FOSSGIS

Q: What kind of mobile handset(s) do you use?
A: iPhone

Q: What’s your favorite gadget or piece of hardware?
A: 12 gauge Beretta Xtrema (duck hunter) / MacAir

Q: Is there a mobile app or 2 that you simply couldn’t live without?
A: Pandora / Google Mobile

Q: What are you reading right now if I was to look on your coffee table or side table?
21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership (reading again)- I can only manage to read one at a time.

Q: What/Where is the coolest Geo/Techproject/job you’ve worked on?
A: Mapping a State Budget simply because of the impact and challenge http://www.slideshare.net/learondalby/putting-a-state-budget-on-a-map

Q: Favorite sports team?
A: Colts / Cubs (I know)
