Mobile Dev Tip – StarDust: Ensuring the quality of your mobile solutions

February 11, 2011 By Editor

Paris – Feb. 11 – During the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 14 to 17, StarDust, the quality management expert, unveils its offer to enable mobile development specialist to reach a maximum device compatibilities (SmartPhone, Tablets,…)

Founded in late 2010 by Francois Joseph Viallon, joined by Guillaume Gimbert, from HighCo 3.0 and Richard Vignolo from PACA Mobile Center, Stardust is positioned as a trusted-partner to validate and ensure the quality of mobile solutions for IT  services companies, agencies, publishers, technology providers or advertisers. "As the mobile application market is growing dramatically, we opted for a strong positioning: to be the third party qualifying mobile applications and services" said François Joseph Viallon. Indeed, to guarantee its customers a high degree of independence and neutrality, the company has chosen not to develop mobile applications itself and to focus solely on the specialities of quality management for its customers.

With the advent of mobile as a mass media, the number of new terminals, multiple OS, updates and customizations drastically complicates the developer’s job. To face this challenge, StarDust has industrialized the production of tests  and offers its customers to reduce risks associated to devices incompatibility while maintaining costs under control. The company has developed three types of offers: Validation of projects, new devices subscription and an “On-call service”. "We validate our customers application on targeted devices, then we support during operating mode by testing new devices and checking bugs that may occur in production "said Mr Viallon. StarDust assists its customers from the project’s earliest phases by drafting the test book, then validates initial deliverables and finally checks all targeted devices. Concretely, the company relies on expertise and means from "PACA Mobile Center by MobiSmart" which was originally  established Francois Joseph Viallon in 2005. It is today is the first European mobile library with 1300 devices available in Marseille, France.

In Barcelona, Stardust is an exhibitor on the France Pavilion, supported by Ubifrance, as a Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur Company, Hall 2, 2F49, slot 33b.

Founded in 2010, Stardust StarDust is positioned as a trusted-partner for validation and quality assurance for mobile solutions providers. StarDust generates all of its sales in the testing business and to ensure a strong independence and neutrality to its customers, the company has chosen not to offer development  services.

StarDust supports its customers throughout the process of creating mobile applications for the provision of mobile terminals during development, verification of proper operation of solutions deployed on new mobile devices, through the phases of functional recipe and techniques.

Located at the Pole Média de la  Belle de Mai in Marseille, Stardust benefits from  particularly active and tech-friendly ecosystem.
