2011 Esri Developer Summit—The Conference by Developers for Developers

February 9, 2011 By Editor

Redlands, California, February 08, 2011—The 2011 Esri Developer Summit will take place March 7–11 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.

You can expand your skill set and increase your value in the workplace by attending this world-class event.

The Esri Developer Summit will kick off with a series of preconference seminars on topics such as Python and Esri’s web and mobile APIs. These seminars will teach developers with all levels of experience how to take advantage of scripts and tools that increase work quality and efficiency. Esri software experts will lead a variety of technical sessions that cater to every skill level and development platform. Esri staff will be stationed at the Tech Support Island to explain the latest geographic information system (GIS) tools, processes, and techniques you can immediately apply to your everyday work. You’ll have the opportunity to meet one-on-one to gain expert knowledge and receive valuable guidance.

The summit will also include 30 user presentations from GIS developers highlighting their successes. These presentations have been voted on by the geospatial community as the most innovative and interesting topics. The opening Plenary Session on Tuesday will feature many Esri developers talking about how to leverage the full potential of code and development platforms. Bill Clark, research vice president at Gartner Research, will give the Keynote Address on Wednesday, March 9. He will discuss the challenges of mobile development and the future direction of mobile apps and smartphone platforms. His body of research includes mobile software development, context-aware computing, and mobile consumer application platforms.

Register for the 2011 Esri Developer Summit at esri.com/devsummitreg. A special discount of $100 is available for those who register before February 16.
