Timmons Group’s Site LoGIStics Selected by Dinwiddie County, Virginia

January 26, 2011 By Editor

RICHMOND, VA – January 26, 2011 – Timmons Group, a leader in enterprise geospatial products and services, was recently selected by the County of Dinwiddie to develop a comprehensive economic development website utilizing Site LoGIStics.

The new website will serve as a site development and marketing tool for the County to attract new and existing businesses.

“We are excited about the opportunity to work with Dinwiddie’s Economic Development Office,” said Lowell Ballard, Director of Geospatial Solutions for Timmons Group, “The partnership will bring together our cutting edge website development team and the County’s expertise in attracting quality businesses to the community.”

Gregory Reid, Director of Dinwiddie County Economic Development said, “We chose Site LoGIStics because we see the power this product has to promote Dinwiddie directly from our website. It gives the County a definite advantage in these economic times to provide sophisticated site location tools to a vast audience, and it shows our commitment to making Dinwiddie a sought-after business location by supplying our constituents with the latest tools to continue bringing business to our community.” Site LoGIStics assists businesses, real estate professionals and site location specialists seeking critical data to identify profitable locations. The site gives users the ability to augment the site location process by integrating detailed site and building information with key demographic, economic and consumer data. Information on specific commercial sites and buildings can be retrieved quickly without accessing numerous sources.

Site LoGIStics also leverages the new ESRI Business Analyst Online APIs to create research trade areas. The API provides access to a wealth of demographic reports based on trade area, user-defined search areas or a standard geographic area such as a county or zip code. Professionals and business leaders will have access to important data from one convenient, web-based source.
