Play or Create a Geo Dart Game with uMapper

November 29, 2010 By Editor

Here’s a fun resource from the cool uMapper team enabling anyone (with an account) to create their own Geo Dart game. Cool fun for a Geo contest, some blog fun, or even for GIS Day.

What is it?

GeoDart is a geography trivia game where users answer geographical questions by placing darts in the correct locations on the map. With the UMapper platform, you can build your own GeoDart game for any locale and use any questions on any map!

Ho it Works

The process of creating your own game is just like creating a standard map and consists of four simple steps. Watch the video below to see how to create your own game in minutes.

The steps are relatively simple:

  • create an account and login
  • create a map with title and settings
  • select locations and add markers for question/results
  • Save and play!
