Ashtech Introduces ProMark 200, Cost-Effective, Dual-Frequency RTK Rover

September 24, 2010 By Editor

All-in-one, Dual-Frequency Network RTK Solution

Nantes, France, September 15th, 2010 — Ashtech® today introduces the ProMark™ 200, a cost-effective dual-frequency (L1/L2) network RTK rover solution. The ProMark 200 offers long-range RTK performance, fast initialization time and centimeter level accuracy in a lightweight and rugged compact design. Together with the comprehensive Ashtech FAST Survey™ field software, the ProMark 200 meets the demanding expectations from professional land surveyors. Additionally the ProMark 200 solution can be conveniently used as a handheld receiver, without any external antenna, for easy pre-surveys and GIS data collection.

ProMark 200 survey receiver is part of the new generation of Ashtech GNSS solutions; it complements the well-known ProMark family that currently includes ProMark 3, ProMark3 RTK and ProMark 500 GNSS survey receivers.

ProMark 200 is the most cost-effective dual-frequency network RTK solution from Ashtech. Embedded BLADE technology provides long-range RTK performance, fast initialization and centimeter-level accuracy. Thanks to its dual-frequency capabilities, the typical on-the-fly RTK initialization time is below minutes with a range up to 40 km, with a typical RTK accuracy of 1 cm + 1 ppm. It is compatible with all types of RTK networks (VRS, FKP and MAC) and can be upgraded to the up to 20 Hz real-time raw data and position output.

The ProMark 200 network RTK rover has been designed for maximum mobility and efficiency in the field. It is a rugged, waterproof and lightweight receiver: it weighs about 1 kg (2 lb) including the handheld receiver and the external antenna. It comes with large memory (2 GB internal NAND Flash and unlimited external SDHC cards support), all-day-long autonomy (over 8 hours with GNSS activated), and extended wireless communications (GPRS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi). The mix of exceptional RTK performance and compact design makes the ProMark 200 an extremely powerful and appealing network RTK rover solution.

ProMark 200 is a very cost-effective offering meeting the most demanding requirements for a high-end survey solution. Its FAST Survey field software includes topographic features typically associated with dual-frequency, extensive data formats and local coordinate system support. Added options enable the ProMark 200 to seamlessly work with a wide range of survey instruments to run complete survey jobs, including site calibration, stake out, and survey projects where total stations are used.
