Ashtech MobileMapper 100 and MobileMapper 6 Support ArcPad 10

July 13, 2010 By GISuser

The ultimate ESRI mobile mapping software combines with the ultimate Ashtech GNSS handhelds

San Diego – ESRI International User Conference, 13th July 2010 – Ashtechr Booth # 2715
Ashtech today announced that its new MobileMapperr 100 handheld GNSS receiver and its MobileMapper 6 handheld GPS receiver support ArcPadr 10, ESRIr’s newest mobile software.

As an Authorized ESRI Business Partner, Ashtech is offering an exclusive MobileMapper and ArcPad 10 bundle in the U.S. market. The combined power of the new ArcPad 10 software and the new centimeter-accurate MobileMapper 100 is expected to have particular appeal for GIS professionals working in oil and gas resource management, utilities, forestry and agriculture.

GIS professionals can select either the MobileMapper 100 or MobileMapper 6 to match the accuracy their GIS application requires. Ashtech offers mobile mapping solutions that deliver meter- to centimeter-level positioning, in real-time or post-processing modes. The new ESRI ArcPad 10 software combined with Ashtech MobileMapper receivers provide an accurate all-in-one mobile GIS solution to perfectly match the needs of any professional GIS user.

About MobileMapper 100
Designed for GIS data collection and mapping, the MobileMapper 100 integrates an open operating system, built-in communications and Ashtech’s powerful BLADET technology. BLADE allows the MobileMapper 100 to deliver the high accuracies desired by GIS professionals, even in extreme GNSS environments, including urban and rural canyons and under dense canopies.  The MobileMapper 100’s GNSS scalability – GPS or GPS/Glonass configuration – and its compatibility with 3rd party networks (VRS, FKP, MAC) enables GIS users to experience optimal data collection virtually anytime and anywhere.

About MobileMapper 6
The MobileMapper 6 is a rugged, compact, and price-competitive professional GPS/GIS handheld receiver. It includes a post-processing option capable of adding sub-meter accuracy performance into your GIS.  It provides a complete set of all necessary features required by a mapping device for anyone who needs productive data collection and efficient asset management in the field.
