Blom Has Signed Partnership Agreement For Aerial Images to Real Estate Industry

May 14, 2010 By GISuser

Blom has entered a three year partnership agreement with Norwegian company Fortress for licensing of oblique aerial images to real estate agencies in Scandinavia, covering images over Norway and Sweden.

The agreement gives Fortress access to Blom’s unique geo server, BlomURBEX™, to develop applications for real estate agencies, allowing them the opportunity to download oblique and vertical aerial images directly into marketing material such as sales prospectus’, advertisements, posters etc.

The resolution of the images is very high, and they provide valuable information to potential real estate buyers as they get detailed images of the object for sale in addition to an overview of the location of the object.

”Fortress looks forward to the partnership with Blom. This will provide us, and our customers, a great opportunity to quick and easy select high quality oblique images for marketing purposes. We strongly believe Blom will cover our needs in this area, also outside Norway” says Tom Snilsberg, CEO Fortress.

”We are extremely satisfied Fortress, as one of the market leaders in their segment, have chosen us to be their partner, and we are excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring in the future”, says Dirk Blaauw, CEO Blom.

Blom’s database of oblique aerial images consists of unique geographically referenced oblique aerial images covering more than 1,000 city areas, and 4,000 individual cities, in Europe. The images have a high degree of detail and allow users to see an object in the photo from five different angles. This enables real estate agents to present high resolution images of an object to their clients to further improve the presentation of the object.
