Google sharing data via the Google public data explorer

Continuing with their mandate to index the World’s data, Google has rolled out yet another data sharing resource, the Google public data explorer. 

Users have the ability to explore, view, and share a variety of data that are served up as tabular and as a chart or map. Additionally, those with data available for public consumption, you can also take part in the sharing by providing your data to the resource. See more in the FAQ at http://www.google.com/publicdata/faq

As an example, check out these data from the US BLS showing labor stats… users can quickly and easily compare data from states, then visualize the data as it changes over time via animation… very cool! The user then also has the ability to easily link to the data or share and embed in a web page – see below.
