Leading Oil and Gas Companies Implement Cutting-Edge GIS Strategies and Technologies to Enhance Oil and Gas Planning and Operations — DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, December 14 — International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC), the global provider of tailored, industry-driven conferences, is pleased to announce that leading oil and gas companies, including ADNOC, ADCO, ZADCO, ADMA OPCO, KOC and Wafra Joint Operations (KGOC & Chevron) will meet at GIS in Oil & Gas 2010 to tackle the latest industry challenges to enhance oil and gas planning and operations.


 The two-day conference, with four interactive workshops, will take place in Abu Dhabi from 17-20 January at Le Royal Meridien, Abu Dhabi.

Industry leaders will gather to showcase how their organizations benefit from GIS to enhance oil and gas planning and operations. The very latest industry challenges will be addressed and attendees can immerse themselves in topical discussions through interactive panel sessions.

The summit will open with a keynote speech by Mohsen B.M.H. Boussemma, Head GIS & Cartography Section at ADNOC. Mr. Boussemma will present ADNOC’s award-winning GIS program. This will be followed by KOC’s experience in using GIS in well and base production management decisions. ADCO’s experience on incorporating GIS into a company’s information management strategy will be presented by Jeremy Mead, Programme Manager/ Data Management Specialist. Another best-practice GIS implementation will be presented by Uday Kale, Vice President Corporate IT at Reliance Energy Ltd, on Introducing the successful Enterprise-wide Integrated GIS implementation in one of the largest electrical utility companies in India. Finally, the second keynote presentation on Geo-Information as the EP enterprise glue will be delivered by Raoul Quadvlieg, Head GIS, Spatial Data Management and Mapping Services at PDO/Shell.
