Hansen Launches Public Sector Television Network Multi-Channel Hansen TV (HTV) Seeks to Inform, Educate, and Entertain Global Audience of Public Sector IT Professionals, Users, Partners, and Vendors

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif.– Hansen Information Technologies (Hansen®), a leading provider of enterprise applications for the public sector market, today announced the launch of Hansen TV (HTV) — a first-of-its-kind, Web-based television network dedicated to government information technology (IT). Showcased last week at Hansen’s 20th Annual International User Group Conference in Squaw Valley, California, HTV currently consists of four distinct channels — each designed to inform, educate, and entertain a global audience of public sector IT professionals, users, partners, and vendors. Future channels will include Hansen University and a channel dedicated to Hansen partners.

“Federal, state, provincial, and local governments and utilities continue to thirst for case studies on best practices and ways to communicate benefits of automation to their constituents,” said Chuck Hansen, Chairman & CEO of Hansen. “HTV — located at http://tv.hansen.com — is a way to easily and effectively communicate the business processes of government and showcase successful users in a highly-focused way. HTV will also be used to share information about our growing company, including new products, corporate acquisitions, and significant partnerships.”

Hansen Information Technologies has been a pioneer in all aspects of the Web — from Web-based application development to interactive Web content — and the introduction of HTV is another innovative example. Hansen was quick to realize the significance and potential of the Internet, first launching its Web site in 1996. Hansen 8, the industry’s most advanced Web-based solution dedicated exclusively to the business transactions of government, includes over 30,000 business objects that enable personalized workflows, and over 3,000 XML Web Services for seamless integrations between Hansen’s business layer and third party point solutions. Today, Hansen’s Web site is one of the top twenty most-visited Web destinations for governments, as measured by Alexa®.

HTV channels include:

Channel One – The Hansen Difference

This channel answers the question: “Why are so many governments moving to Hansen’s Web-based enterprise solutions to manage their business?” Deep domain expertise and an abundance of successful large and small government IT projects have differentiated Hansen from other commercial vendors.

Channel Two – Hansen Solutions Central

This channel goes one on one with Hansen Business Unit “dream teams” to discuss their industry leading solutions, including Enterprise Resource Planning, Asset Management, CIS Billing, Community Development & Regulation (CDR), Transit & Rail, GIS, Mobile Computing, and Financials.

Channel Three – Hansen In Action

This channel features project case studies and demonstrates the tangible return on investment delivered by automation projects. Visitors will hear from all levels of government, including white collar, blue collar, and no collar users, and learn how they can work together throughout their organizations to deliver efficient and effective services for their constituents.

Channel Four – The G-Man Show

The G-Man is here (“G” stands for government), and his channel is “info-tainment” at its best. Visitors will enjoy a few laughs while at the same time learning more about Hansen solutions.

Partners now have an opportunity to team with Hansen year-round to showcase their products and services on www.hansen.com — one of the most highly-focused Web sites dedicated exclusively to the public sector. Hardware and database vendors, GIS developers, system integrators, service providers, and complementary solution providers can now work with Hansen’s marketing team to develop and deploy targeted advertisements, product placements, and messaging through a medium that enjoys more visitors than most industry trade magazines and periodicals. Advertisers and sponsors of HTV will also enjoy discounted rates to Hansen’s Annual International User Group Conference and be featured in Hansen’s popular NETWORK magazine.
