National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to Address DC Area Small Business Community
Redlands, California—June 7, 2016—Esri announced its sponsorship of an upcoming small business breakfast on June 10 hosted by the Northern Virginia Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). The sponsorship is part of Esri’s outreach initiative to encourage small businesses wanting to grow opportunities in the geographic information systems (GIS) market.
Earlier this year, Esri launched the Federal Small Business Specialty, a program aimed at engaging, enabling, and collaborating with the geospatial small business community.
“Esri is glad to support this important event which will allow small businesses to connect with government and primes to learn how they can provide their expertise to innovate on geospatial programs,” said Heather Whitney, partner executive and small business program lead at Esri.
“We very much appreciate Esri’s sponsorship of our event, which will help the small business community understand how to engage with and identify small business opportunities at NGA,” said Nate White, AFCEA NOVA Small Business Committee chair and president of Polar Star Consulting.
