RemoteView Pro Version 3.2.2 Delivers Integrated Intelligence Capabilities and Improved Workflow

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct 17, 2011 — Overwatch, a strategic business of Textron Systems Advanced Systems, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. TXT +1.87% company, announced today the release of RemoteView(TM) Pro 3.2.2, the latest version of its imagery and geospatial analysis software with enhancements that better integrate intelligence data and improve the intelligence workflow.

"Data fusion and sharing across Overwatch’s integrated software solutions supports merged data streams, powerful analytical tools, and intuitive displays of the resulting information — creating new and needed capabilities for today’s analysts," explained Stuart Blundell, Overwatch vice president of geospatial products and services. "These RemoteView enhancements, together with recently added extensions, come from our listening closely to our customers and then delivering reliable solutions for them to do their important work."

RemoteView Pro Version 3.2.2 is now available for the Windows(R) 7 operating system, making intelligence data more accessible. A new ImageStack(TM) toolset upgrades the software’s Research & Negation (R&N) capabilities into one unified interface for reviewing multiple images simultaneously. RemoteView’s GeoCatalog capability is now able to ingest Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB) data sets to facilitate locating image pairs, which enable users to conduct precise positioning. Large scale mosaics also are now easier than ever to create with enhancements made to RemoteView’s Virtual Mosaic extension.

In June, Overwatch added the V-TRAC(TM) Pro extension and TerraGo(R) GeoPDF(R) production capabilities to its RemoteView Pro software. The V-TRAC Pro extension expands RemoteView’s full motion video (FMV) analysis to include live stream capture and automated report generation for FMV exploitation across all phases of analysis on a laptop computer. The GeoPDF software extension facilitates convenient publishing of geo-referenced content to a PDF file, which may then be easily accessed and used by individuals with little or no geographic information systems (GIS) experience.

LizardTech Launches GeoExpress 8.5 at the GEOINT 2011 Symposium

SEATTLE, Wash. — Oct. 17, 2011 — LizardTech®, a provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, is releasing version 8.5 of its GeoExpress® software this week at the GEOINT 2011 Symposium in San Antonio, Texas where the company is exhibiting in booth #263.

This upgraded version of GeoExpress, which allows geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery, offers exciting new features, including per-band compression ratios. This will allow users to choose different compression ratios for different bands in their images. For example, anyone with an eight band image can choose to compress the Red, Green, and Blue bands at 20:1, but compress all the other bands losslessly.

Additionally, users can now choose a subset of bands to encode. Previously, they could encode 1, 3, or all bands to MrSID. Now, they can choose any subset of bands. For instance, they can now choose six bands out of an 8-banded image to compress to MG4.

The licensing functionality has also been improved, enabling administrators to restrict how many floating licenses can be taken off network. This comes as a great benefit for administrators who now can allocate their licenses as needed for both internal and external users.

“Similar to previous product releases, this new update offers what our customers have requested,” said Jon Skiffington, director of product management. “Specifically, the per-band compression ratio feature is exciting and we’ve already been receiving great feedback on this addition.”

A free, 30-day trial of GeoExpress is available here: http://www.lizardtech.com/ downloads/

LizardTech will be conducting demonstrations of GeoExpress 8.5 in their booth #263. In addition, the company’s other products will be featured including Express Server® for high-performance delivery and publication and LiDAR Compressor for turning giant point cloud datasets into efficient MrSID® files.
