Satellite Imagery: Protests In Yangon, Myanmar – @MaxarTechnologies

February 22, 2021 By Editor

Maxar Technologies collected new satellite imagery this morning (at 10:52 AM local time, February 22nd) of the widespread protests that formed today across Yangon, Myanmar.

Satellite Imagery: Protests In Yangon, Myanmar

Images show crowds of people in downtown Yangon near the City Hall and the Sule Pagoda, a large gathering near Hledan Center and security forces that had assembled along University Avenue near the US Embassy. Dozens of new street murals (proclaiming “Free our Leaders” and “We Need Democracy”) continue to be established throughout the city.
