What Can I Do With A Bachelor In Business Analytics

What is business analytics and what does the role require? Business analytics is the process of the collection of data, the storing of data, and analyzing of data to aid and help increase revenue within the business and also increase productivity which leads to greater efficiency.

Business analysts are employed by corporations to help with the strategic goal of the company and help the data-based decision-making process more streamline.

Companies have been mining data and storing it for a very long time but, now there is so much available in the digital world with over 2.9 zettabytes available the need for analysts have become essential in helping to utilize this mass of information.

Business analytics could be a great way to be part of an ever-expanding industry, projected growth is high and will only increase in this annual $120 billion industry. You may ask what can I do with a bachelor in business analytics degree, here are some of the options available to you.

Problem-solving

Problem-solving is fundamental to analytics, creating solutions to help with business solutions, and maximizing profit and productivity. This is a skill that is in high demand and a sought after attribute to any company wishing to invest in the future of the business. Being able to predict future problems with projects in an ever-changing situation is not possible but, with rapid solutions by an analyst, problems can be overcome.

Communication skills 

Essential for a business analyst is strong communication skills they will greatly help with any project you may be tasked to do or asked to help on.

Knowledge of how to conduct a meeting and how to participate is paramount as the majority of meetings will be held in virtual settings, being able to interpret these meetings you will have the ability to convey your key input.

Technical skills

Business analysts will be confident in their ability to develop, implement business systems helping companies to store after gathering data and in the design of such systems. This will be beneficial to your management, team members, and most importantly the client.

Technical skills are highly sought after by all forward-looking companies and pay a good salary.

Market research analyst 

Market research is not a new industry, it has been practiced through the ages in many forms.  Unlike in the past, we now have fast and modern technology in place to help with our research.

A market research analyst has the role of collecting data and determining which products are in demand, the promotion of the product, the customer base at whom to aim at and what price they are willing to pay for the service or product. Having a bachelor’s degree in analytics places you with an understanding of this field and it makes you qualified in this dynamic growth industry.

Programing and marketing managers 

Programming and marketing managers are tasked with the responsibility of coming up with and implementation of a company’s marketing campaign. Strong communication skills are required along with excellent leadership.  You will be responsible for sales, marketing staff, and ensuring positive results for all the marketing campaigns implemented.

Machine learning engineer

Such companies as Google, Apple, and Microsoft and amongst many other large data-based corporations that are always looking for bachelor machine learning engineers, opening great career paths and a wealth of opportunities.

Being a machine learning engineer entails working with the companies data science department to design and build programs delivering products that are data-driven and ultimately qualify machine-based decisions, helping to diminish any human interference and increase the user satisfaction of the product. 

Industries that benefit from this include social media and the automated vehicle industry amongst many others.

Often to achieve the position of machine learning engineer you will need a Ph.D. or a specialist master’s degree in applied mathematics or statistical analysis.

Chief technology officer

Within the corporate world, a chief technology officer plays an important role and is highly sought after by financial institutions, IT departments, and consulting firms.

The requirements of this executive position demand a mastery of technical trends and devising the implementation of a strategic business strategy alongside your team. Chief technology officers are constantly looking for ways to make the corporation stand out amongst the competition.  

Organizational skills and strong leadership are essential to this role. Ensuring a positive and constructive user experience is essential and also ensuring productivity across all aspects of the company.
