Blue Marble to Offer Helicopter Rides Around Los Angeles at its Upcoming User Conference

September 15, 2017 By Editor

Hallowell, Maine – September 15, 2017 – Blue Marble Geographics (www.bluemarblegeo.com) is pleased to announce that it is offering several attendees at its upcoming User Conference in Los Angeles a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour the city from the air.

Held in partnership with Blue Marble partner GEO1, the Blue Marble User Conference (BMUC) will include an onsite drawing to select the lucky participants. After the close of the meeting, the drawing winners will accompany GEO1 technicians on a helicopter ride as they simulate their aerial data collection workflow while flying over the famous landmarks of LA.

Blue Marble’s GIS software is used by hundreds of thousands of satisfied customers throughout the world who need affordable, user-friendly, yet powerful GIS solutions. Users come from a wide range of industries including software, oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, surveying, and technology companies, as well as government departments and academic institutions.

BMUC is a gathering of geospatial professionals representing a wide variety of industry sectors, government departments, and academic institutions who share a common interest in Blue Marble’s GIS and geodetic technology. Open to users and non-users alike, the daylong meeting includes informative presentations, product development insights, interesting user stories, tips and tricks, networking, and much more.
This special LA event, scheduled for November 15 and hosted by GEO1 at their hangar at the Hawthorne Municipal Airport, will provide an opportunity for Blue Marble staff to introduce the latest innovations in the version 19 release of Global Mapper and the LiDAR Module. It will also feature a live demonstration of GEOLook from GEO1, a custom video extension for flight monitoring in Global Mapper.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with our friends at GEO1 for the final stop in the 2017 BMUC calendar,” stated Blue Marble’s President, Patrick Cunningham. “GEO1 is typical of the cutting-edge companies that have chosen Global Mapper for their geospatial data processing needs, and we are very much looking forward to learning more about their data collection technology, both on the ground and in the air.”
Registration is required for all BMUC attendees and space is limited. The registration deadline to be eligible for participation in the on-site drawing is October 13. For more information and to reserve a slot, visit:
