Crime Mapping – Santa Maria Police Department launches interactive crime mapping

The Santa Maria Police Department has launched an interactive crime mapping feature on its website at www.cityofsantamaria.org/police.

This update on the public web portal comes via the SantaMariaTimes…

The information provided is intended to promote community awareness and encourage the use of crime prevention measures.

Anyone with Internet access can go online to get information on crimes anywhere within the Santa Maria city limits. The information provided reflects initial, unverified calls for service.

Through the use of this program, Santa Maria crime data is provided from the Police Department. This allows residents to view up to 180 days of crime data by various search parameters to include a date range, crime type or distance from a specific address.
