Co-Founder of GISCorps to Present at Pictometry FutureView 2009

ROCHESTER, NY – June 15, 2009 – Pictometry International Corp. welcomes Shoreh Elhami as the featured speaker at FutureView 2009. This year’s event will take place at the Hilton at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Oct. 18-21.

 Elhami is the co-founder of URISA’s GISCorps, a volunteer program developed to help communities in need with GIS-related support. Throughout her 20-year GIS career she has received numerous local, state and national awards. Elhami is a former university GIS educator who has served on numerous boards and committees including URISA’s Board of Directors, National Research Council’s Mapping Science Committee, as well as the Committee on Land Parcel Databases and several Census advisory committees. She is presently the GIS Director of Delaware County, Ohio.

 
Elhami will open the FutureView international user conference addressing geospatial experts and Pictometry users in the fields of public safety, assessment and GIS.

 Pictometry’s FutureView conference features interactive sessions presented by industry experts, engineers and Pictometry technology users. This year’s event will also feature free pre-conference credit courses to attendees including a seven-hour NENA (National Emergency Number Association) course and an IAAO (International Association of Assessment Officers) course for assessors.
