(May 1, 2009/Harrisburg, Pa.) GeoDecisions, an award-winning leader in the information technology industry that specializes in geospatial solutions, announced that it has acquired the Rapid Response System from Rapid Notification Technologies, LLC.
The acquisition provides GeoDecisions with the ability to provide an exceptional level of service and support for all Rapid Response System users.
The Rapid Response System is an emergency notification system designed to deliver high-speed phone, e-mail, or text messages to public and private utilities, municipalities, and schools. With its user-friendly, Web-based interface, the Rapid Response System has the ability to deliver up to 120,000 phone calls per hour.
Incorporating a data portal that links to customer data and a text-to-speech interface that is fully Web-based, the Rapid Response System empowers users to generate precise phone lists and automated messages from any Internet-accessible computer. The system provides live Web reports as messages are delivered, and detailed call summary reports can be downloaded directly following the call. The Rapid Response System can also be fully integrated into GeoPlanc, GeoDecisions’ municipal management software.
"Rapid Response is a cost-effective and reliable way to help safeguard utility and municipal customers," said Anthony J. Pietropola, president of GeoDecisions. "Moreover, it complements our established portfolio of solutions for local government agencies and utility companies."
GeoDecisions’ experienced staff of professional consultants, analysts, and developers supports clients across the United States. Fundamental to the company’s award-winning approach is the integration of spatial information to empower existing systems and processes. GeoDecisions’ philosophy is based on an enterprisewide approach to the integration of diverse information technologies, data formats, and systems.
GeoDecisions is ISO 9001:2000 certified for its operations nationwide.
