Promotes Locally-defined, DMO-sanctioned Maps
USA TODAY has posted the first link to the Official Destination Maps page of The Map Network (TMN) and its 80+ DMO partners. The page includes links to both print and online maps with an explanation of the unique role of DMOs in defining the maps and map content. Each map includes your member or business partner listings – a valuable new benefit.
Over the next few months, USA TODAY will begin rolling out individual destination maps throughout their Travel site integrated with their editorial content alongside branded DMO content.
We encourage you to visit the Official Destination Maps Page and give us your thoughts on what we can do to make it better. The link for the page is: http://www.usatoday.com/travel/destinations/directory/cvb-index.htm
About The Map Network
The Map Network (TMN), based in Washington, DC, is transforming one of the world’s oldest information sources — maps — into a dynamic new marketing, communications and revenue-generating tool for destination marketing organizations, events, hotels and venues. TMN offers a wide array of complete multimedia solutions that combine industry knowledge with cutting-edge technology to reach sales and marketing goals. TMN currently serves as the Official Map of the Destination Marketing Association International and more than 80 CVBs. TMN is also the Official Map of such leading associations for meeting planners as IAEM, ASAE and MPI. More than 200 events have used TMN’s custom map-guides, including more than 25 of the Tradeshow Week Top 200 trade shows, both Republican and Democratic National Conventions in 2004, World War II Memorial Dedication, Presidents Cup, Marine Corps Marathon, and Super Bowl XL. www.mapnetwork.com
