Abstract Submissions Sought for URISA’s 44th Annual Conference Program

November 30, 2005 By GISuser

November 30, 2005 (Park Ridge, IL) – URISA is accepting online abstract submissions for it’s 44th Annual Conference, taking place September 26-29, 2006 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The program committee is soliciting presentations in four general categories: Applications, Tools, Data, and Management. For details and an online submission form, visit www.urisa.org. The deadline for abstract submissions is January 6, 2006.

“The “The last time URISA held its conference in Canada was in 1997, in Toronto, and we’re really looking forward to a great conference in Vancouver. We’ve got phenomenal chapters in Canada and in the Northwest U.S. In fact, the British Columbia Chapter was recently awarded the 2005 Outstanding URISA Chapter Award. We expect a great turnout in 2006,” noted Chris Dionne, URISA’s COO/Director of Conferences.
