One-day seminars to be held in San Francisco, Denver, and Atlanta areas
Redlands, California—ESRI and IBM are hosting free one-day seminars in three major U.S. cities during November 2005 that will teach managers how to increase their decision-making power by increasing collaboration between agencies, between field offices and headquarters, and between government agencies and the public. Dubbed “GIS Across America-Developing a Federal Enterprise,” the seminars will feature sessions designed specifically for both managers and technologists.
Using leading-edge technology, software, and services, industry experts will show attendees how to meet the challenge of integration across the enterprise using geographic information systems (GIS). Managers will learn how other government agencies have integrated the GIS enterprise and can review the experiences others have had in the planning, implementing, and maintenance phases, while technologists participate in a hands-on lab where they can test-drive the latest GIS solutions.
The dates and locations of the seminars are
· November 1, 2005, San Francisco, California, at the Grand Hyatt at Union Square
· November 9, 2005, Lakewood, Colorado, at the Sheraton Denver West
· November 17, 2005, Atlanta, Georgia, at the Westin Peachtree Plaza
Each seminar will begin at 8 a.m. with registration and coffee service, will feature a hosted lunch, and will conclude around 4 p.m.
