ELA Will Speed Dewberry’s Delivery of GIS Technology Throughout the United States
Redlands, California/Fairfax, Virginia-ESRI, the worldwide leader in geographic information system (GIS) technology, and Dewberry, one of the nation’s top-ranked consulting firms, have announced that the two companies have entered into a three-year collaborative Enterprise License Agreement (ELA).
The ELA is a comprehensive licensing program for ESRI’s family of GIS software, which will allow Dewberry unlimited and instant access to selected ESRI software and establishes ESRI as Dewberry’s standard for GIS. Most notably, Dewberry will implement ESRI software including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and more than 1,000 seats of ArcPad mobile GIS software.
Recently named ESRI Business Partner of the Year for 2005, Dewberry has been collaborating closely with ESRI regarding opportunities for further product and service integration. The new ELA, a result of that collaboration, is designed to allow the companies to enhance services to clients, particularly in time-critical situations.
Dewberry’s use of GIS has increased dramatically in recent years, most notably in support of the firm’s disaster response and recovery efforts. “We needed a way to put GIS technology into the hands of literally thousands of disaster response and recovery personnel on very short notice, and this agreement gives us that opportunity,” said Phil Thiel, a vice president with Dewberry. The agreement also provides ESRI with access to the comprehensive consulting services of Dewberry, one of the nation’s leading engineering firms.
“We are pleased to have a company like Dewberry choose ESRI as its standard for GIS,” said David Wieseler, ESRI director of strategic partnerships. “Dewberry is innovative in its approach to GIS, and we are looking forward to working with them as one of the nation’s largest and fastest growing engineering firms, in the years to come.”
